According to the rumors, we might expect from this camera:
- 10 megapixel CMOS sensor manufactured by Canon.
- Five frames per second.
- Larger 3-inch LCD.
- LiveView.
- Video capture capability (i doubt about this one, but who knows?).
- DIGIC III image processor to match the 40D’s 14 bit DIGIC III.
- ISO 3200.
- A kit with the new EF-S 18-55mm IS lens.
- The same battery grip as 400D (BG-E3)

I don't know if the video capture capability is a good idea. A reflex camera isn't a camcorder !
